Goals
The goal of the LAER outreach program is to introduce radiochemistry to students and interested parties. Our target audience includes elementary aged to college-aged students, those in industry, and anyone with a general interest in the world of radiochemistry. We want to educate our audience about issues regarding radiochemistry in the environment including current research, career opportunities, various forms of energy and how each works, waste disposal, and sources of radiation. We present the information in such a way that the audience comes away with more knowledge regarding radiochemistry and they are encouraged to form their own opinions regarding the issues being discussed.
