Research Interests:
- Answering fundamental questions regarding the behavior of plutonium in the presence of microbially produced organic ligands
- The effect of microbial activity on the fate of metals in the environment
- Bioremediation of contaminated sites
- The difference in the behavior of tracer versus “aged” metal contaminants
- The microbial diversity of a plutonium –contaminated site and how the microbial community changes with varying carbon source
